There are a myriad of causes besides hereditary factors that affect hair growth.  Fact is, it happens to more of us than you think! So now that you’re thinking about it let’s talk causes, solutions and prevention.

Men and women are both affected by hereditary and temporary hair loss.  Stress, cancer treatments, pregnancy, thyroid issues, and some medications are just some of the causes of temporary hair loss. High levels of oil and collagen can tighten around the hair bulb reducing nutrition and circulation. There are options out there besides hair implants or just accepting your fate.

Rene Furterer hair care products provide two treatment plans based on the type of hair loss. Triphasic should be used twice a week for one month then once per week

Triphasic VHT treatment is formulated for those with hereditary (progressive) hair loss. It works against the three factors responsible for thinning hair by increasing microcirculation, regulating oil production, and preventing the tightening of collagen.

RF 80 should be used once per week for a three month period.  

For those with temporary hair loss, RF 80 is the answer. RF 80 improves the hair’s structure by stimulating cell renewal and production, increasing circulation, delivering increased nutrition, and promoting keratin formation.

Last Minute Bride? Fear not, we're here to help!

It’s not too late to find a salon for your big day! A few tips we find help last minute brides:

• Schedule a consultation, even if you’re planning your event out of town. A consultation via Skype or Face Time allows you to speak to your stylist wherever you are. This allows the stylist to visually design your final look before the main event.

•  If possible, schedule an in salon consultation with a complete run through of hair and makeup. You’ll have the opportunity to fine tune all the details with your stylist and you will leave reassured that the final result will be nothing short of gorgeous. 

Pictures of your favorite styles will help your stylist achieve your desired look.

Don't forget to bring hairpieces, especially your veil!

                                                                                 

• Consider hair extensions! Hair extensions are a great temporary way to make any style you choose look celebrity fabulous.

Fascinating Fringe

Let's talk about the very thing our blog's name is inspired by : Fringe, AKA bangs.

Reese Witherspoon's gorgeous bang.

Today there are so many styles of fringe out there: everything from subtle face framing wisps to bold blunt bangs. There are baby doll or pixie bangs as well as a side-swept look that can be a bit more non-committal.

Zooey Deschanel's fringe has become synonomous with her look.

There seems to be a style out there to suit everyone. Do you gravitate toward an edgy punk aesthetic or do you prefer a classic and polished look? We can guarantee there is a type of fringe out there that will flatter your face and appeal to your sense of style. During a consultation, our stylists will help you determine the look you aspire to achieve and make that look work on you!

Fringe can minimize some "flaws" (we think quirks are beautiful, by the way) like a high forehead or strong jawline by framing your face accordingly.  It can also accentuate your personal style. Take Haley Bennet's short asymmetrical fringe. She is a classic beauty but her bangs convey a certain playfulness or whimsy.
